Planning for Your Visit:

arents attending Firefighter Guided Tours


  • Bring your driver's license for check in.
  • No food or drink allowed (except water.)
  • Plan to arrive at your scheduled time.
  • The tour lasts 30-45 minutes.
  • You will have a chance to walk through our village, no bike or jeep rides included.
  • You may choose to spend time in our store browsing FFD apparel and souvenir items.
  • Visit our Parking Page to be familiar with our facility entrance and parking locations. Enter off of Main Street.

Parents attending School Study Trips

  • Bring your driver's license for check in.
  • Wear closed-toe shoes.
  • No food or drink allowed (except water).
  • Plan to arrive at 9:20 a.m. for the morning program (class starts at 9:30).
  • Plan to arrive at 11:50 a.m. for the afternoon program (class starts at 12:00).
  • Visit our Parking Page to be familiar with our facility entrance and parking locations. 
  • Do not drive across the emergency vehicle driveway when entering or exiting the parking lot.
  • Cell phones and cameras are permitted; however, parents assisting with ride time will need to put those items away.  Photos opportunities will be provided. If you plan to take photos/video during ride time you will be asked to stay on the patio. 
  • Please send your child in PE attire and closed-toe shoes. Dress for weather and outdoor activities.  
  • All second through fifth grade students will ride bikes. Please note that high ponytails, large bows or other hairstyles may interfere with the proper fitting of a bike helmet.  A properly fitting helmet is required.

  • Kindergarten students will ride jeeps in pairs and take turns driving;  Each jeep will need an adult to assist with driving.  We highly encourage parents to attend to assist with this activity. 
  • First grade students will drive jeeps. All students will be given the opportunity to drive; however, if a child feels uncomfortable driving and chooses not to driver he/she can be a passenger with another student.  Parents are needed to assist with traffic control. We highly encourage parents to attend to assist with this activity.

Parents attending a Homeschool Programs  (July/Aug or Jan/Feb)


  • Please confirm your student attendance numbers the day of and call us to reschedule if you have less than 10 students. All groups of less than 10 students will be offered a walking tour of the facility in lieu of a classroom program.
  • Please share all of the information below with all  parents/guardians attending.
  • Bring your driver's license for check in.
  • No food or drink allowed (except water).  
  • It is extremely important that all those attending know the arrival time and plan to be on time so no one misses the educational portion of the program.
  • All students will need to have closed-toe shoes to be able to ride.  
  • You may bring your own bike helmet (but know that we also supply them!)

  • We do provide bikes. No outside bikes allowed.
